Senior policy makers from QA networks and QA bodies from selected countries, functionaries from national and state level higher education

ministries and regulatory bodies, experts and researchers in higher education, representatives from Industry, society, students and academia would be invited. About 150 delegates are expected to join the Global Quality Summit.

Prof. Furqan Qamar

In his illustrious academic career spanning over three decades, Prof Qamar held the positions of Professor and Founder Director of the Centre for Management Studies at Jamia Millia Islamia, a Central University in Delhi; Advisor (Education) in the Planning Commission of India; Vice Chancellor of the University of Rajasthan at Jaipur; and the first and Founder Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh at Dharamshala.

Prof. N.V. Varghese

Director, Centre for Policy Research in Higher Education (CPRHE/NUEPA), New Delhi

He served as Head of Governance and Management in Education at the International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP/UNESCO), Paris till October 2013 and Head of its Training and Education Programmes from 2001 to 2006. He was responsible for designing and introducing the IIEP Masters programme in educational planning and management. In the 1990s he became Professor and Head of the Educational Planning Unit at NIEPA, New Delhi.
